1. Winter outdoor activity requires warm clothing, but make sure it is not binding which restricts movement. There are many great fabrics that keep you warm without being heavy and uncomfortable. Sporting good stores carry a large variety of waterproof, breathable outerwear fabric jackets and pants. There aremany well known brands including Columbia and North Face.

2. Don't overlook the fabulous newer moisture wicking fabrics that wicks moisture away from the skin and the compression fabrics offer snug fit without restricting movement. These are most popular in tops for men and women.

3. Focus on Fleece; A soft comfy warm favorite that layers great for a variety of activities. Anything fleece is always a gift favorite.

4. Layers are key and give you a great variety of gift items to choose from. Begin dressing with thermal underwear, then add a long sleeved turtle neck, next add a sweater or fleece top, and complete with an outwear jacket. Thermal underwear and a warm outerwear pant for the legs, and a warm comfortable water resistant shoe or boot. Great gifts for giving or stocking stuffers include thermal socks, scarves, hats, gloves, and headbands; all important to keeping warm.

5. Any type of winter sports equipment such as skis, ski poles, skates, sleds, and ice fishing items.

6. Equipment for recipient's favorite activity such as golf clubs, bags, gloves, and balls; tennis racquets, clothing and balls; swimming accessories; bicycles and cycle gloves, helmets, shoes, and water bottles; camping and hiking gear.

8.
