Fitnesst living requires Fitnesst Focus; focus on what food we eat
and focus on how we exercises. Today's topic is maintaining your
Exercise Focus which is:
-
Focus on the scheduled time
you set aside for your exercise.
-
Focus on the type of exercise
you have planned for that day; cardio, resistance, stretching,
or combination.
-
Focus on each exercise
separately. If resistance training, think about the muscle (s)
you are working using slow and controlled movements. Think
about the muscles the exercise is meant for and make sure you
are feeling the movement in that area. For example, if doing a
dumbbell arm curl, do not use your shoulder to get the weight
up. Keep your focus on utilizing your bicep arm muscle which is
on the front of your arm between your shoulder and elbow.
-
Focus on which muscles feel
worked a day or two after your workout. If your low back is
sore after doing a leg workout, you may not be focusing on doing
the exercise correctly. The muscles that should feel worked
after a particular activity are the muscles the exercise is
meant for, focus!
Focus is key
to Fitnesst Living!
