Healthier Pasta
Prep: 20 minutes                         Cook: 20 minutes

Ingredients

Sauce:

Spray pan with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Saute onions and garlic, Add white meat turkey (99%-Extra Lean) and season to taste, cook thoroughly.

 

Pasta:

Use whole wheat pasta or pasta made partially with whole wheat flour (Barilla Plus). Cook according to directions on box

 

Vegetables:

Roast or steam the selection of heart-healthy vegetables.

To roast, heat oven to 450 degrees and place vegetables on cooking sheet with olive oil cooking spray and seasoning to taste. Cook for 10 to 40 minutes depending on whether you like your vegetables crunchy or soft.

  1. Measure between 1/2 c. and 1 c. pasta.
  2. Add sauce to taste.
  3. Choose a selection of vegetables and mix together.
  4. Top with parmesan cheese and serve.
